For Panzer Tracts No.9-3: Jagdpanther, the Panzer Tracts team spent hundreds of hours accurately measuring every surviving Jagdpanther and over a thousand hours drawing at full scale and creating as-built drawings to the same tolerances demanded of the original assembly firms.

Authors Thomas Jentz and Hilary Doyle devoted hundreds of hours of research to finding the numerous previously unnoticed modifications. They created flat-plane' drawings of many components to aid modellers in making accurate parts that are hard to replicate when only drawn at an angle.
